New Way Air Bearings® stands with our partners in innovation, but innovation doesn’t always mean the latest and greatest, but keeping your existing assets running in tip top shape. To this end we’ve compiled the Retrofitting with Air Bearings infographic to help demonstrate how air bearings can act as drop-in solutions for Sheffield CMM’S, Canon stereolithography stepper machines and much more. From metrology and semiconductor manufacturing to ultra high precision optical grinding, retrofitting with nanometer precise porous media air bearings is the next step in maintaining and upgrading your equipment.
Each year the ASPE student challenge invites teams of student engineers from universities across the world to design and manufacture a precision machining apparatus, beginning with a set of tools, motion systems and encoders provided by sponsors of the event.
On November 1, 2019, students from E.T. Richardson Middle School in Springfield, PA visited New Way Air Bearings for a rare, behind the scenes look at air bearing manufacturing. Participating in ‘What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?’, students spent a day interviewing employees, filming them at work, and gaining a new and exciting perspective on manufacturing.
