New Way Air Bearings is seeking a detail-oriented Controller to join our growing team. The Controller is responsible for directing all accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records and identifying opportunities to reduce costs. New Way Air Bearings is a rapidly growing provider of precision motion solutions based on our unique Porous Media air bearing technology. Founded in 1994, New Way is located in Aston, PA, USA, ten miles south of Philadelphia International Airport.
Position Responsibilities: A. Direct all accounting functions including, but not limited to: accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank and vendor reconciliations - Employ GAAP to ensure the accuracy of all financial reports and records
- Evaluate internal accounting controls to ensure that New Way is aligned with industry best practices
- Prepare reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations
- Direct the preparation of annual budgets and continuously monitor adherence to budgets.
- Supervise GL maintenance
- Maintain an up to date schedule of corporate assets and ensure adequate asset protection
- Provide cashflow management
B. Employ cost accounting skills to provide detailed data analysis to drive efficiencies, reduce costs, and provide accurate forecasting and variance analysis - Oversight of inventory costing
- Determination of labor, burden and overhead rates
- Partner with Operations to identify, recommend and implement cost saving initiatives in support of management objectives
- Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets
C. Maintain strong business relationships with customers, vendors and colleagues to meet business goals - Ensure that all procedures, policies, correspondence and business relationships adhere to ethical and legal standards and conform to company policies and objectives
- Serve as main point of contact for auditors and ensure successful annual audit
Position Qualifications: - B.S. degree in Accounting, CPA desired
- 7+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
